(What Do You Think?)
#1 Question: Which of these poems appealed to you the most?
Answer: I would say "The River-Merchant's Wife: A Letter" because it says the girl was bashful and im shy.

(Comprehension Check)
Question: In "The River-Merchant's Wife: A Letter" Why is the wife writing a letter?
Answer: The wife is writting a letter because her husband has been gone, so she's writing about everything.

Question: In "Still Night Thoughts" what does the speaker say the moonlight looks like?
Answer: The speaker says the moonlight looks like frost on the ground, and he dreams of home.

Question: What kind of scene does the poet describe in "Gazing at the Lu Mountain Waterfall?
Answer: The scene the poet describes is waterfalls.

(Think Critically)
#2 Question: How would you describe the realtionship between the speaker of "The River-Merchant's Wife: A Letter" and her husband?
Answer: The realtionship between the wife and the husband is difficult but yet serving because he has been gone for five months.

#3 Question: What do you think are the speaker's feelings in "Still Night Thoughts"
Answer: I think the sepaker's feelings are sad because the person has no more, and the person is probably lonely.

#4 Question: In "Gazing at the Lu Mountain Waterfall" what effect does seeing the waterfall have on the speaker?
Answer: The effect that seeing the waterfall has on the speaker is that he loves seeing the waterfall, and enjoys it very much.

Answer: They helped by showing the different details, and like the sences where you could tell what was going on by what the foreground (far away) looked like.

#6 Question: [Comparing Texts] Look again at "Mulberry on the Lowland" (page 447) from the book of odes. What similarities and differences are there between the feelings of the speaker in that poem and those of the speaker in "The River-Merchants's Wife: A letter?
Answer: The differences in those poems are some seen happier than others.

#7 Question: [Connect To Life] In much of Li Po's poetry, nature is a source of renewal and serenity. How do people in today's world view nature.
Answer: The same way! Nature is a wonderful thing still today.
